Major meets coming up soon

A quick recap on the major meets coming up…

The traditional Christmas Hut Meet is back at Caseg Fraith in Snowdonia on 30 November and 1 December. It’s our last hut meet of the year. Mountains, a mouth-watering meal and much merriment – what more could you ask for?! We have the hut to ourselves and will have Ogwen MRT over to receive our charity cheque and to say a few words. Social Sec Anthony is organising and Meets Secretary JP taking monies now.

For Scottish Winter action, we have booked the bunkhouse at Roy Bridge Hotel for Saturday 11th to Saturday 18th January. This location gives easy access to Creag Meagaidh and also allows for trips to the Ben Nevis area and to Aviemore… the best of all worlds! Last year’s trip was a huge success, so what are you waiting for, get booked up right away by giving a deposit to JP.

The Scottish May Meet will be in Skye in the Carbost Bunkhouse in the first week of May. A fantastic isle with the Cuillin Ridge, coastal cliffs and a whiskey distillery. Again, talk to JP.

The club has booked a hut on Lundy from Saturday 9th August to Saturday 16th August 2014. Lundy is one of the best sea cliff climbing venues in the UK with over 500 routes across the grade range. This time please email or call our resident Lundy expert, Michael Bayley.
