Regular Wednesday evening climbing at Blue Spider, Guildford followed by a trip to a local pubafterwards. If you are thinking of turning up, please contact the Club so we know you will be there, and we can look out for each other. The evening sessions will help you get to know other members and discuss upcoming meets.
Blue Spider give discounted entry to GMC members on club nights (Wednesdays) when paid as a single entry.
Day trips to Dorset, Wey Valley or South Wales, weekend trips further afield to Cornwall, Pembroke, Peak District, North Wales, or the Lake District. Longer trips away in the UK (as above plus Scotland) or abroad typically Spain, Italy or Greece.
For UK trips we aim to car share to reduce the cost , generally co-ordinated via WhatsApp.
There is no need to be the best climber, just turn up and join in, but remember not to overstate your experience as this can lead to safety issues.When you join the GMC you also become a member of the BMC (British Mountaineering Council) and this gives you access to discounts from retailers, third party insurance and travel insurance.
