A bright and early Saturday morning members of the GMC found themselves in the beautiful Peak District at Burbage North. A good venue for some of the newer members of the club to get to know the Peak gritstone and first Trad trip of the year for other members too.

In groups of 3 we saw some great sending of routes; Ringo, Peter’s Progress and Knight’s Move led by Aston with Conor, and Russell following.

Meanwhile Charlotte and Jon switched leads with Lisa following on Sentinel Crack, Black slab variation, Green Crack and Falstaff’s Crack.

Sunday we headed to Stanage Popular to the Black Hawk Area, joined by Paul D and Tristan on Black Hawk Hell Crack and Castle Crack.

Aston, Conor and Russell tackled Central Trinity and Hargreaves Original whilst Jon and Charlotte headed up Black Hawk Traverse Right and Anatomy. A great weekend was had, if rather cold at times but with beautiful views we’re looking forward to returning in June!
